The safety of advanced learners is our responsibility: Minister of Education

“The future and security of students are the responsibility of the government,” said Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh on Friday.

Addressing the media about the IPE (Intermediate Public Examination) due to start May 5th, Mr. Suresh highlighted the need to take the exams.

“If the exams are canceled, the students only receive a pass certificate, which may rob them of many good academic opportunities in the future,” the minister said.

Mr. Suresh said he had gathered information from all states in the country and said, “No state in the country canceled the mid-term exams.”

The minister knocked out the opposition parties because they “caused an anxiety psychosis in the minds of the students and their parents in relation to the exams”.

“The government of the Union has asked the state governments to decide on the conduct of the audits depending on the COVID-19 situation in their respective areas,” said the minister, adding: “At the moment it looks like it will Government do this. ” a tough stance on the matter. But it’s for the good of the students. ”

Advice to parents

Mr. Suresh asked the parents not to worry and said, “I give you my word. The safety of your children is of the utmost importance to us. ”

Exam material was sent to 1,452 centers across the state, he said. “41 additional test centers will be set up this year,” he said.

COVID logs

A COVID control center has been set up in the commissioner’s office, Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), alongside the composition of squads, special mobile parties and mobile medical vans, the minister said.

“Thermal scanners, disinfectants and masks are made available in the examination centers. Each center has an isolation room where students with COVID-19 symptoms can take the exams. The personnel supervised in these isolation rooms are given PPE kits, ”said the minister.

Mr Suresh said the hall tickets would be available on the website – bie.ac.gov.in – by Thursday evening, and an app, ‘IPE Exam Center Locator’, had been designed and made available on the Google Play Store for Help the Students to access information about their exam centers.

“Students who have been infected with the virus and cannot take the exam must present an appropriate certificate. The BIE will conduct a separate review for them at a later date, ”said the minister.
