National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), N. Chandrababu Naidu, said the party would organize protests in all constituencies of the state on June 29 to “address the failure” of the YSRCP government in dealing with COVID-19 -To uncover pandemic.
Mr. Naidu held a meeting on Tuesday with key party leaders and those in charge of the congregation’s constituencies.
“An IIM professor had analyzed the number of deaths from coronavirus infection in the state and found that the total number of deaths was 14 times higher than the government claims,” Naidu said at the meeting.
“Irrigation sector neglected”
Regarding the irrigation projects, the former chief minister alleged that the YSRCP government neglected the irrigation sector during its two-year tenure. “Many issues related to the construction of the Polavaram project have emerged after Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took office. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, who criticized the Pattiseema irrigation project established during the TDP’s tenure, now plans to draw water from the Godavari River through lift irrigation systems, ”he said.
Special category status
Mr Naidu also accused the government of ignoring Special Category Status (SCS) issues for Andhra Pradesh. “The government spends several million rupees on advertising to divert people’s attention from their failures. It failed on all fronts, most recently due to the irregularities in the Group I network inspection. The government is determined to conduct the 10th and mid-term reviews amid the pandemic, “he added.
