Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed the Vamsadhara Tribunal’s ruling that Andhra Pradesh allowed the construction of a Neradi barrage over the Vamsadhara River. He directed officials to focus on building the barrage once the gazette was published.
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy urged officials to prepare an action plan for the construction work, saying the ruling would benefit both Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
The Chief Minister said he would invite Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other public officials to attend the barrage laying ceremony, adding that the policy of the Andhra Pradesh government is to move forward in mutual cooperation.
