Bharatiya Janata Party Tekkali convener Hanumanthu Udaybhaskar on Sunday called on the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to instruct the contractors concerned to complete the outstanding work related to the upgrading of the national road and also bus stops at various locations in the Tekkali division of Srikakulam district to build . According to him, the work between the Kotturu flyover and the Peddasana intersection was not yet completed. Bus stops in Jagatimetta in the city of Tekkali and Turakalakota in the village of Nandigama Mandal had to be built immediately because the previously existing bus stops were demolished during the road works. “We asked the srikakulam collector to look into the problem as well and asked him to conduct a joint survey with NHAI officials. The pending work should be completed immediately in order to avoid disturbances from rain. In the absence of bus stops, people have to wait in different places in the scorching sun, ”said Udaybhaskar.
