Narsapuram MP stages drama to slander the government: Midhun Reddy

YSRCP Rajampet MP Peddyreddi Midhun Reddy accused Narsapuram MP K. Raghu Ramkrishna Raju, who is charged with sedition and hate speech, of staging a drama defaming the state government that a detailed investigation would uncover the conspiracy behind the entire episode.

“The MP’s conspirators and instigators will soon be exposed,” Midhun Reddy, along with party members Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu and V. Balashowry, told the media here at the YSRCP Central Party Office on Monday.

Mr. Midhun Reddy denied the Narsapuram MP’s allegations of violence in detention, pointing out that the Medical Association established by the Andhra Pradesh Supreme Court had not found any new injuries to Mr. Ramkrishna Raju’s body.

Dig in Naidu

He alleged that Mr. Ramakrishna Raju, at the instigation of TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu, staged the drama of the attack while he was in CID custody after his request for bail was denied. “Mr. Naidu used the MP’s family to settle the political bill. Nowhere is it written that a MP cannot be arrested. We will take up the issue at the next parliamentary session with the Lok Sabha spokesman,” said Midhun Reddy .

“The MP is putting on a show to mislead the case and avoid going to jail. It was not right for him to insist on being treated only at Ramesh Hospital. It is no secret that the hospital is owned by a close associate of Mr. Naidu. There are many other private hospitals in the state and even the AIIMS that the MP can be treated at, ”said Midhun Reddy.

He said the Narsapuram MP was given a niche position in the YSRCP but he had abused his power and position. His statements were intended to divide people according to caste and religion and arouse public sentiment.

“False Accusations”

MP V. Balashowry said that although Mr. Raju is a representative of the people, he never reached the people of his constituency during the COVID pandemic and has been living in Delhi for 14 months. “The MP used TDP media channels to accuse the government on various fronts. He had used abusive language against the leaders of the YSRCP and made fun of Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He had made false allegations against the government on many occasions, such as a fire accident at the Antarvedi Temple and the desecration of idols, ”he said, adding that the law would run its course in this case.
