Weekly summer special trains to Mysore, Vasco and Howrah

The railways operate weekly special trains between Howrah and Mysuru and Howrah and Vasco da Gama via Visakhapatnam in summer.

Train No. 08117 Howrah-Mysuru The special train leaves Howrah on Fridays from April 23rd to 30th at 4.15pm and arrives in Visakhapatnam at 5.25am the next day. On the third day it leaves at 5.45 a.m. and arrives at Mysuru on the third day at 3.50 a.m.

In the return direction train no. 08118 Mysuru-Howrah Special leaves Mysore on Sundays from April 25th to May 2nd at 11.45 p.m. to arrive in Visakhapatnam at 8.30 p.m. the next day and leave at 8.50 p.m. and reach Howrah at 10.55 a.m. on the third day.

According to AK Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, the train has one AC 2-tier, six AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class and three general second class buses.

These two trains will stop at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangrapet, Krishnarajapuram and Bengaluru stations.

The train No. 08047 Howrah-Vasco-da-Gama Special leaves Howrah on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in the period from April 17th to 29th at 11.30 p.m., arrives in Visakhapatnam at 12.55 p.m. on the next few days and departs at 1.15 p.m. From Vasco-da-Gama on the third day at 3:45 p.m.

On the return trip, 08048 Vasco-da-Gama-Howrah Special leaves Vasco-da-Gama on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from April 20 to May 2 at 6:50 a.m. and arrives in Visakhapatnam at 8:25 a.m. the next day and departs at 8:45 a.m. And arriving at Howrah at 11:25 pm

The train has six AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class and two General Second Class buses.

These two trains will stop en route at Bhadrak, Jajpur Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Guntakal and Madgaon stations.

Passengers are asked to strictly adhere to all safety protocols before and during the journey after the pandemic. People should always wear a face mask on the railroad and on trains.
