10. Inter-examinations as planned, no classes up to the 9th standard

The state government has decided to continue the schedule for grade 10 exams run by the SSC and the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) run by the Board of Intermediate Education. The government has also decided to suspend classes for students in grades 1 to 9 with immediate effect.

The Inter exams for the first year start on May 5th with Paper-11 (second language), while the exams for the 10th grade start on June 5th.

“We made the decision to take into account the interests of the students. Many students have lost their job opportunities because the 2020 exams were not held. Our government has already taken many measures to ensure student safety, such as the delivery of three pairs of masks. The practical exams of the IPE have already started, so we decided to complete the schedule, ”said the Minister of Human Resources Development, Adimulapu Suresh.

The CBSE has already canceled the board exams for Grade 10 and Grade 11 and postponed the exams for Grade 12. Many states have either postponed or canceled the exams due to elections or COVID-19.

“The decision to suspend classes is effective immediately and applies to all schools – government, support, social and private schools,” the minister told reporters at the end of a high-level meeting in the chief minister’s camp office.
