Pandranki Venkataramana, district president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Vizianagram, on Sunday called on the state government to take immediate steps to fill all backlogs as thousands of unemployed youth in SC and ST await jobs.
He turned to the media here and said the age limit should be increased as the positions have not been filled in the past seven years. Mr. Venkataramana claimed that the posting of the job calendar to fill only 10,143 jobs shocked the unemployed youth while they waited for all 2.35 lakh vacancies to be ceased.
“Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had promised to fill all vacancies during his Padayatra, which he had started during his opposition time. No notifications were issued for DSC and other jobs. This caused unrest among the youth, ”said Venkata Ramana. The party leaders Syed Bhukhari, Ch. Madhav and Nazir Pathan were present at the media conference.
