Commissioner V. Prasanna Venkatesh cracked down on erroneous officials in the Urban Planning Department of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, handing over an Assistant City Planner (ACP) to his home department, the Department of Urban and State Planning, on charges of negligence. ACP M. Jagadeesh has been asked to report to the Homeland Department. Previously, in a review meeting with city planning officials Thursday, Venkatesh said that tough measures would be taken against officials who resort to corruption or who fail to comply with norms.
