Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Somu Veerraju said it was a matter of pride for the country that people from different parts of the world attend the International Yoga Day celebrations. He was the main guest in the festivities held here at the Lawson’s Bay Colony office on Monday.
On that occasion, Mr. Veerraju paid tribute to the Telangana government’s study of connecting rivers and said Andhra Pradesh had failed to take such an initiative. He said increasing property tax based on land value would create problems. He described the call for Special Category Status (SCS) as “political drama” and asked what the state would get with the day.
Raveendra Medapati, President of the Visakhapatnam Party’s parliamentary district, chaired the meeting.
Also among the participants were the Secretary General of the MLC and BJP, PVN Madhav, the President of the State of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Surendra Mohan, and the responsible District Chairman K. Lakshminarayana.
