Abandoned baby saved, critical – The Hindu

Unidentified people left a female child in a remote location at the Vagu Center in the Two Town neighborhood of the city on Monday.

When they received information, officers from the Department of Women’s Development and Child Protection rushed to the site and rescued the baby. They took the infant to Government General Hospital because he suffered injuries to the head and other parts.

The baby’s condition is critical, said district child protection officer Ch. Vijay Kumar.
