A girl who was taking a trip to the banks of the Krishna River with her boyfriend was allegedly sexually assaulted by a teenager on Saturday night.
The victim filed a complaint with the police on Sunday.
According to police, the defendant attacked the couple and handcuffed their friend’s hands and legs before attacking them. Police suspect that some local vagabonds or gangs of blades (villains who attack people with blades and resort to chain robbery and robbery) may have committed the crime.
Tadepalli police registered one case and sent the girl to the Guntur Government General Hospital for a medical examination.
The police said that three special teams had been formed to track down the defendants.
