Prepare to tackle the third wave effectively, Naidu tells the government.

TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday called on the government to prepare and put in place a foolproof system to effectively tackle the potential third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While attending a webinar on “Ways to Ensure the General Wellbeing of Society” organized as part of the NTR Memorial Trust’s “#Wemusttalk” initiative, Mr. Naidu expressed serious concern about the level of suffering and destruction that through the first and second waves of the coronavirus into people’s lives that permeate all areas of society. He said volunteer organizations and individual COVID warriors should do their part and strengthen the hands of the government machinery.

The actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood also took part in the discussions about COVID-19 challenges and their solutions.

Naidu praises actors

Praising the actor’s help to the stranded migrant workers during the first wave of the pandemic and for continuing the good work in the second wave, he said Mr Sood reached out to people who needed help and cited the actor’s example, he bought a tractor for a poor farmer in Madanapalle. He said such humanitarian advocates should share their experiences to inspire others to stand up.

Regarding the services expanded by the NTR Memorial Trust, Mr Naidu said that in addition to telemedicine services, he also delivers groceries to those affected by COVID. More than six oxygen generation plants had been set up, and the foundation had also written letters to soldiers at the front in recognition of their valuable service.

He said that to combat the third wave effectively, the government should leave no stone unturned and stressed the need to give the vaccine to everyone.

He pointed out that COVID-19 cases are gradually easing but said this should not be a cause for complacency.

“Everyone can serve”

Mr Sonu Sood said everyone could become part of the service activities to alleviate the suffering of those affected by COVID. “COVID-19 has taught this world empathy, humanity and humility. The ongoing challenge will be to ensure sustainable livelihoods for the myriad workers who have lost everything in the first wave of the pandemic, ”he said.

The actor praised Mr. Naidu’s contribution to the development of the unified Andhra Pradesh. “Hyderabad looks very beautiful and well-kept, and the city has seen rapid progress thanks to Mr. Naidu’s efforts to strengthen the IT sector,” he said.
