The national president of the All India Youth Congress, BV Srinivasulu, on Friday called for the center to cut gasoline and diesel prices immediately.
Speaking to reporters in Nagari, 40 miles from here, Mr. Srinivasulu claimed after a protest rally with youth convention cadres in the city that the BJP-led NDA government tended to favor the rich rather than the plight of the oppressed took care of sections.
“The country is caught in the forces of religious fundamentalists. People should say goodbye to the BJP at the center, ”he said. The youth congress chairman said fuel prices would be cut if congress came to power.
Previously, in light of the lockdown, Mr. Srinivasulu, along with local leaders, distributed kits of rice and supplies to poor families in Nagari.
