Parvatipuram Alajangi Jogarao’s YSR congressional party MLA on Saturday directed officials to secure house places for poor people they apply for within 90 days. He laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Jagananna Colony in the Lakshminarayanapuram village of Parvatipuram Mandal.
He said that 132 houses would be built in the well-developed complex and that the colony would fulfill the poor population’s dream of owning their own. “Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is interested in securing the basic civil infrastructure in the Jagananna colonies. The Lakshmipuram colony would certainly be a role model, ”said Mr. Jogarao.
“Many who missed the opportunity can also apply for house places. The officers will sanction them within 90 days of verifying their eligibility, ”he added.
Some beneficiaries who wanted to build their own houses with the sanctioned 1.8 lakh each called on the legislature to provide steel and cement at affordable prices. He promised to bring the matter to the attention of the government in order to avoid an additional financial burden on the beneficiaries.
