Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed officials to focus on treating all eligible COVID-19 patients under the Aarogyasri program to alleviate their hardships and on sourcing injections and medication necessary to treat the Cases of black fungus are needed.
In a review meeting on COVID-19 control measures on Thursday, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the financial support promised to children orphaned by COVID-19 should be extended at the earliest.
Officials told the prime minister that 93 children who had lost their parents to COVID-19 have been identified and 10 lakh have been deposited in the names of 46 children.
The number of COVID-19 cases declined, as evidenced by the positivity rate falling from a high of 25.56% to 13.02%. The number of active cases, which was 2.11 lakh on May 17, decreased to 1.43 lakh. The recovery rate improved to 90.98%.
Intensive care beds availability increased to 1,582 by June 2 from 380 on May 15, and on May 17 there were only 433 oxygen beds available compared to 7,270 currently. There were only 14,057 patients in COVID care centers.

The first dose of the COVID vaccine was given to 51.03.821 people and two doses 25.47.784 across the state. The central government has allocated 36.94.210 doses of vaccine for this month and has given 5.08.710 so far.
So far, 89 cases against 66 hospitals have been registered by the Vigilance Department for violating norms and fined 9.90 billion yen.
