The committee opened an investigation into the implementation of the Aarogyasri program in the city in response to a complaint from MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy of Kakinada City.
On Friday, East Godavari Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy and Ms. Kirthi said the hospital administration had repaid 4.5 lakh to the victim they collected fees from despite being admitted under the Aarogyasri program.
Ms. Kirthi appealed to the public to bring violations of the Aarogyasri program to the attention of the district authorities. District Aarogyasri Program Coordinator P. Radhakrishna and other officials are part of the district committee.
