The Vedanta and Cairn Energy groups donated 50 medical oxygen bottles to the Konaseema area on Wednesday in response to a call by Social Affairs Minister Pinipe Viswaroop.
The capacity of each cylinder is 50 liters. The two companies are active in oil and natural gas exploration in the Krishna Godavari Basin in Andhra Pradesh.
In an official press release, Mr. Viswaroop said; “A total of 30 oxygen cylinders were delivered to the Amalapuram Area Hospital and 20 cylinders would be made available at the Primary Health Center in Surasani Yanam in the Konaseema area.”
Thanks to the timely help of medical oxygen from various companies, Mr. Viswaroop has appealed to the companies to expand their aid in the fight against COVID-19 in the Konaseema region.
