A 19-year-old student donated her ₹ 5,000 savings to the COVID Relief Fund by mailing a check for the amount to East Godavari Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy.
Moved by the pandemic and its aftermath, Adabala Meghana decided to donate her 5,000 yen savings. She appealed to the Collector to spend the money on COVID relief efforts for children. Ms. Meghana is a senior student from B. Savaram Village, Konaseema Region, East Godavari District.
Regarding Ms. Meghana’s letter and check, Mr. Muralidhar Reddy said the student’s gesture would provide moral support to frontline workers and government officials in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
