YSR Congress Party’s mayor Vamsikrishna Srinivas Yadav said opposition parties had made baseless allegations about MP V. Vijaya Sai Reddy’s visit to Mudasarlova Park. The park was neglected by the previous government, but it is the YSRCP that came forward to develop it along the lines of the Brindavan Gardens of Mysore. But now the members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP) oppose it, he said.
Similarly, with a view to the annual Giri Pradakshana, when large numbers of devotees circle the Simhachalam hills, Mr. Vijaya Sai has suggested that the trails be developed. However, opposition party leaders politicized it, he claimed.
Mr. Vamsikrishna Srinivas said that Mr. Vijaya Sai is eager to develop the North Andhra region which has been completely neglected by the previous government. The 300-bed COVID-19 care center set up by the YSRCP MP has served hundreds of people during the pandemic, he said.
Mr. Vamsikrishna Srinivas said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had fulfilled almost all of the assurances given to the people during his Padayatra in the two years of government. He said welfare programs introduced as part of Navratnalu would benefit all walks of life.
