Three family members were found dead Tuesday at their home in Penukonda, Anantapur district. The housekeeper, who found a bad smell from the house, complained to the neighbors, who in turn alerted the police. The police opened the doors and found the bodies of the three siblings in their eighties in a badly decaying condition.
According to preliminary information, one of them was identified as Ashwathaiah, a retired bank director who was separated from his wife and lived with two of his sisters.
The three have reportedly not come out of their home since the March 2020 lockdown. An autopsy reportedly revealed that they had died more than 48 hours ago.
Police ruled out a bad game and suspected health problems could have resulted in her death.
According to the neighbors, residents did not mingle with the people in the area and did not have much information about them.
