The state government has failed to take timely action to control COVID-19, which has increased the number of cases and deaths in the state, claims BJP MLC PVN Madhav and former MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju.
The BJP leaders protested here on Sunday in the party office. The President of the BJP Parliamentary District, Medapati Raveendra, presided.
The party leaders said the late response in implementing the curfew also contributed to a sharp rise in cases. The state government has also failed to contain some private hospitals that have resorted to escaping patients who have inappropriately exploited the pandemic situation, they said. The BJP leaders also claimed that the state government had also failed to educate people about the importance of vaccination.
Mr. Vishnu Kumar Raju alleged that the state government had targeted its rivals. He wondered what the common man’s fate was when a MP was allegedly tortured in CID custody.
Those in attendance included the competent parliament of Araku, MMN Parasurama Raju, the general secretary of the BJP district, Prasad VSN Koppisetty, and the president of the BJYM district, Kalla Ashok Kumar.
