Kadapa police arrested 11 people, including six women, on Friday and confiscated ganja weighing 120 kg under the border of Chinna Chowk Police Station. Five cell phones, an SUV and £ 7,000 in cash were confiscated from them.
The defendants were identified as Korra Matsa Raju from Chintapalli, Visakhapatnam District, who was believed to be the king of the gang, Menapati Lakshmi Devi, O. Tulasi, Akki Dasari Srihari, Poola Rajeswari, Poola Anjanamma, Poola Sirisha, Poola Rajesh , Poola Saraswathi, Poola Nagaraju, and Balasani Kishore, all from Kadapa District. A team led by Deputy SP (Kadapa City) K. Sunil stepped up surveillance of the drug trafficking, resulting in arrests.
