The Bharatiya Janata party leaders, led by District President Polanki Ramaswamy, held a sit-in-dharna at the Panchalingala check post to protest the Telangana police and prevent patients from ambulances to Hyderabad.
The BJP leaders called it “inhuman” and proposed against Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for keeping silent on the issue.
They called on the YSR Congress Party to take decisive action, coordinating with the Telangana government, to end this misery for patients of all kinds as they had the “constitutional right” to be treated anywhere in the country .
As the common capital of AP and Telangana until 2024, all Andhra citizens also have the right to go to Hyderabad for treatment, they added.
Meanwhile, Sake Sailajanath, president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, said The Hindu that Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan should speak to Telangana Prime Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and make sure no one is prevented from going to Hyderabad. “It is the first time in my life that I have encountered such an inhuman act. Every patient’s hope is to be treated in a better hospital / with a specialist and therefore, in the absence of such a facility in their city, they go to other places, which is their right, ”said Dr. Sailajanath.
Medical health director Telangana DH Srinivas said that only if you have an appointment with a hospital or doctor can you violate medical ethics, the APCC chief stressed.
