Collector V. Vinay Chand said beds in COVID-19 care centers in the city would be increased from 2,800 to 3,400. He spoke to State COVID-19 Special Officer KS Jawahar Reddy in a video conference here on Thursday.
Vinay Chand said that in addition to the COVID-19 care centers, four more hospitals will be set up in rural areas. He added that they are monitoring the health of COVID-19 patients who are in domestic isolation. The collector also spoke to Health Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas and briefed him on the steps to take to combat the pandemic.
