Police Director General D. Gautam Sawang has urged the public to notify authorities of any unauthorized sales of remdesivir and oxygen using the number 100 or 1902.
In a press release, Mr. Sawang said the police, vigilance, enforcement and health departments are jointly enforcing the sale and delivery of drugs, oxygen and hospital care across the state.
He asked patients and their families to vote 100 or 1902 if they were forced to pay more than the government allowed for treatment and medication. He said the police are making the transportation of oxygenated vehicles safer and faster and that node officers have been appointed to do this.
Mr. Sawang said the curfew imposed in the state was in effect. He said people spreading rumors and false news on social media would be booked.
