Ambulance drivers warned of passing public

Deputy Transport Commissioner GC Raja Ratnam has warned private ambulance operators against serious action when they have brought charges.

In a statement, the DTC said checks were being carried out on private ambulances in the city and that they would continue. The ambulance registration would be put on hold for a month if operators charge higher fees, he said, urging the public to notify traffic officials if they encounter harassment from private ambulance drivers.
