The Visakhapatnam Steel Mill (VSP) is preparing to use the railways to supply various parts of the country with liquid medical oxygen.
Railroad sources said the liquid oxygen must be prepared after the rakes carrying the empty oxygen tanks arrive from Maharashtra. The empty tanks are expected to arrive at the VSP on Monday evening. A ramp will be made at the VSP to accommodate the empty tanks.
The liquid oxygen has to be produced after the rake arrives, since according to the sources it has to be transferred to the container immediately after its production.
