Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested T. Anjaneyulu, Secretary of Bhimavaram Township’s Fifth Local Government, in West Godavari District after allegedly accepting a £ 1,500 bribe.
In response to a complaint filed by a G. Srinivasa Rao, the station secretary allegedly demanded the amount for processing the complainant’s application to claim property tax (house tax) on his newly built house in the city.
The ACB team caught the defendant in the act allegedly accepting money at the community office on Friday. It is produced in the ACB Special Court in Rajahmundry.
