The leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) paid tribute to Dr. BR Ambedkar with flowers on the occasion of his 130th birthday on Wednesday.
Public Affairs Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who attended the celebrations at the party’s central office on Wednesday, said Dr. Ambedkar was a great leader who made tireless efforts to achieve equality in society.
He said Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy worked to bring Dr. Ambedkar, and it had largely succeeded in the 20 months of his reign.
“The Prime Minister duly stressed the empowerment of women and the appropriate political representation of the Dalits,” said Ramakrishna Reddy.
MP Nandigam Suresh said Jagan Mohan Reddy worked hard for the welfare of planned castes and planned tribes.
MLA Merugu Nagarjuna, YSRCP General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy and Challa Madhusudan Reddy, Chairwoman of the AP State Skill Development Corporation, were among those in attendance.
