Dubbaka BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao said the income from Hundi Temple should only be used for religious purposes. The diversification of funds for non-religious activities will lead to an increase in advertising for other religions in the state, he said.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Rao said that at least ten percent of the hundred proceeds should go towards promoting Hindu Dharma.
In both Telugu states there are several temples, which even Dhoopa, Deepa and Naivedhyams are withheld. The TTD should take over these temples and also provide funds for their care.
He said he would seek the allotment of a house for every homeless poor in his Dubbaka constituency.
