The Minister of Social Affairs P. Viswaroop and the Minister of Social Affairs of the backward classes, Ch.Venu Gopala Krishna, handed 25 victims employment letters under the Victims Compensation Act on Tuesday.
The 25 people are victims of atrocities under the SC, ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act of 1989. Two victims have been offered permanent employment in the state government and 23 have been offered employment under the Karunya program. East Godavari collector D. Muralidhar Reddy, SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi, and other officials were present.
