The HPCL-Visakh refinery carried out an emergency drill here on Saturday.
According to the officials, the aim of the exercise was to test the willingness of the refinery crew to deal with tank firesGZen. This exercise should also test the emergency response and the skills of the emergency services in dealing with emergency situations.
The Joint Chief Inspector of Factories Sri J. Siva Shankar Reddy attended the exercise as an observer. A review meeting was held after the practice session. Mr. Siva Shankar congratulated the refinery management for organizing the exercise. Executive Director, Visakh Refinery, V. Ratanraj, CGM (i / c) Operations – R Ramakrishnan and others attended the occasion.
