Traffic Sub-Inspector D. Arjun Rao was honored with the “Andhra Pradesh Mukhyamantri Sourya Pathakamu” for rescuing a woman from drowning in the Bandar Canal in December 2019. Mr. Arjun Rao spotted the woman, a vegetable seller, who was washing down the sewer from his nearby home and immediately jumped into action to rescue her.
He took the woman to the canal bundle and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
