Aadhaar enrollment campaign for the physically handicapped in Guntur

Collector Vivek Yadav said a special aadhaar registration initiative would be launched for the physically challenged to help them access all services eligible under the state welfare systems.

Recently, Mr. Yadav intervened to get a handicapped woman to sign up for the aadhaar card with Nadikudi, an intervention that resulted in the planning of a district-wide trip.

The Collector also established the modalities for the implementation of the program and assigned responsibilities to the officials.

The community / village volunteer identifies disabled people who do not have an Aadhaar card, compiles the names, and submits the list to the Social Welfare Education Assistant (in rural areas) and the Community Welfare Secretary (in urban areas).

The social pedagogue / social secretary of the community would have to collect the volunteer’s data and submit it to the community commissioner / MPDOs for consolidation.

Mandal Parishad’s local / development officers would create the secretariat related list and provide directions for the Aadhaar enrollment program. You have to set up a single meeting point in each secretariat for disabled, but disabled people (visually impaired, hearing impaired and other handicap categories).

They visit the homes of people with 100% disabilities, bedridden people and the mentally handicapped with Aadhaar enrollment kits.

Regional Director, Township Council and Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad would consolidate community and county secretariat-related data and send it to AO, Mee-Seva, Guntur.
