Total closure in parts of Chittoor

Chittoor Municipal Corporation authorities announced on Wednesday a complete lockdown in the villages of Anupalle and Mapakshi, which will be under the company’s 14th division for five days from Thursday.

Community Commissioner P. Viswanath, along with senior officials from the Health Wing, inspected the areas amid the high number of COVID-positive cases. Incidentally, the group recorded 92 cases of the total urban census in district 217.

During the inspection, the inspector visited the homes with positive cases and advised residents to follow strict home isolation protocols. He urged people to cooperate with officials during the five-day lockdown, except for emergency and essential services.

Mr. Viswanath instructed the sales force in relation to the COVID vaccination requirement to encourage all mothers with children aged 0-5 years and over 45 years to get vaccinated.

While inspecting the reallocated land for the municipal health center building in Anupalle, the commissioner said steps were being taken to complete the building soon.

Fever poll

Meanwhile, the county government had set a deadline for a percentage coverage of the current 13 by Wednesday. Officials said the last trip would cover the remaining 33% of the survey.
