Minister checks the work on the houses of the Jagananna colony

Housing Minister Ch. Sri Ranganatha Raju reaffirmed the government’s commitment on Wednesday to provide houses for everyone as part of its Pedalandariki Illu program.

“While the state government had set itself the goal of starting the construction of 5,000 houses in the first phase of the Navaratnalu program, the district administration has started the construction of 5,019 houses,” said the minister, recognizing the efforts of Collector V. Vinay Chand and his team.

“Jagananna colonies will have proper roads, sewers, drinking water, electricity and other amenities,” Raju told reporters after a review meeting at the VMRDA Children’s Arena.

Mr Raju said there would be a sand storage point in the Jagannana Colony to make sure there was no shortage of sand for construction. He also urged officials to be committed to the project, saying that beneficiaries’ satisfaction should be their top priority. The minister also spoke to various public officials and officials about the status of the housing program in their respective constituencies.

Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao urged the officials to ensure a high level of quality in the work of the housing program. He also said that the program is being taken up very transparently in the district.
