Anantapur MLA Anantha Venkatarami Reddy said Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who he said was limited to zoom meetings, was unaware of the realities of the COVID situation in the state.

Mr Venkatarami Reddy and Mayor Wasim Saleem laid the foundation stone for an urban health center in the city on Wednesday. TDP leaders protest
Meanwhile, the TDP leaders, led by former MLA Vaikuntham Prabhakar Chowdary, held a dharna in front of the Mandal Revenue Officer in Anantapur on Wednesday, urging the government to provide the correct numbers for COVID deaths and immediately ₹ 25 lakh ex gratiaia to sanction the kin of all those who had succumbed to the virus.
The party leadership criticized the state government for its “clumsy” handling of the oxygen supply in the hospitals, which led to the deaths of 33 people in Tirupati, 14 in Anantapur, 6 in Hindupur and several others in Kurnool, Vizianagaram.
