Education Minister A. Suresh on Thursday instructed officials at the Education Ministry to prepare timetables for the SSC and mid-term exams in July if the pandemic situation eases by then.
In a videoconference with the officers, Mr. Suresh asked them to prepare for a review meeting with the prime minister on the matter.
The minister also discussed the issues between teachers’ unions and school authorities in implementing reforms in line with national education policy.
Mr Suresh said the views of the MLCs, who represent the constituencies of teachers, teachers and union representatives, should be raised and thoroughly discussed. He also asked officials to prepare the calendar for the 2021-22 academic year.
Speaking to Mana Badi – Nadu Nedu, officials should ensure that the work of the first phase of the program is completed within the prescribed time in order to facilitate the start of the second phase.
Main Secretary (School Education) B. Rajasekhar, Director Vadrevu Chinaveerabhadrudu, Samagra Shiksha State Project Director Vetri Selvi, Commissioner, Board of Intermediate Education, Ramakrishna and others were present.
