Peddireddi is discussing hygiene measures with Sarpanches today

Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy will attend Spaccha Sankharavam on Monday, an interaction with Sarpanches in the state through a video conference on the successful implementation of Jagananna Swachha Sankalpam (JSS).

JSS is a 100-day sanitation campaign launched on July 8th, the birthday of former Prime Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, and implemented in 13,371 villages across the state for a clean and healthy environment.

As the first in the Gram Panchayats, the 13,095 new Sarpanches have the responsibility to implement the government’s vision and turn their villages into clean settlements with strategic and material government support, a statement said.

In order to ensure the participation of the people, the JSS sees the increase in the Manam Mana Parishubhratha. in front (Sanitary with the participation of the population) was initiated on June 1st last year as phase 1 in 1,320 villages and phase II from October 2nd in 4,737 villages.

The plan is to take a three-pronged approach to creating litter- and litter-free, visually clean villages and promoting good sanitation practices and sustainable sanitation in rural parts of the state.

The focus of the program would be from door-to-door collection to solid waste treatment, from generation to liquid waste treatment, finding revenue models from the end products of waste treatment, improving institutional cleanliness, promoting the contribution of the people to the village hygiene measures and community engagement and participation in the removal of waste-endangered places and waterfalls.
