Sood Charity Foundation launches medical oxygen service in Andhra Pradesh

Anyone living within 80 km of the city of Anantapur can dial 7609999961 and get medical oxygen there

The Sood Charity Foundation, founded by actor Sonu Sood, began in Andhra Pradesh, Anantapur city, with the first medical oxygen delivery at the front door in emergency situations.

Anyone who lives within 80 km of the city of Anantapur can dial 7609999961 and get medical oxygen on site, said the foundation representatives Ajay Pratap Singh and Amit Purohit in a statement. More centers would gradually be set up in Andhra Pradesh.

The program, which was started virtually by Sood, became operational on Friday evening with the support of De One Infrastructure with an emergency team. The emergency team answers all calls around the clock and reaches those in need within a maximum of 120 minutes up to 80 km with an oxygen cylinder on either a bicycle or a four-wheeler that displays the distance and the terrain.

“We have suffered a lot of trauma from lack of oxygen in the last month, but now we want to be prepared for any future eventuality,” said Mr. Purohit. Using this model, the foundation has saved several lives in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu over the past two months, he added.
