The head of government and TUDA chairman Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy officially initiated the distribution of a herbal preparation among the residents of his constituency of Chandragiri on Monday.
The herbal preparation advertised by Ayurveda practitioner B. Anandaiah is available in 100 gram boxes and is distributed free of charge to 1.60 lakh households as a “preventive medicine” against COVID-19.
In the first phase, Mr. Bhaskar Reddy distributed the drug to 10,000 families in a program in Thondawada Village, Chandragiri Mandal.
He said the drug would help keep COVID at bay by boosting immunity. “Half a teaspoon of the powder should be taken morning and evening before meals,” he told recipients. The dos and don’ts and instructions for use are clearly stated in a package insert. Mr Reddy said safety measures such as physical distancing and personal hygiene should be followed even after taking the drug.
