30 lakh beneficiaries will have their own home next year: Housing Corp. MD

Stone laid for houses under the Navaratnalu Pedalandariki Illu scheme in the village of Pasumarru

AP State Housing Corporation Limited (APSHCL) executive director N. Bharat Gupta said nearly 30 lakh beneficiaries of the Navaratnalu-Pelarandariki Illu program would have their own homes by next year.

After Mr. Bharat Gupta laid the foundation stone for the construction of houses in Pasumarru Village, Chilakaluripet constituency, he said it was the state government’s largest housing project to date.

He said the government had announced incentives for beneficiaries, including providing 20 tons of sand and free building materials. District collector Vivek Yadav said the project would create lasting wealth for families and boost the local economy.

Mr Vivek Yadav said the Jagananna housing estate will be built on 41.63 hectares, with 1,773 plots planned for 1,565 beneficiaries. The state government would spend 28.17 billion yen on the facility and infrastructure project.
