A man and woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree in HR Palem village near Madakasira, Anantapur district, early in the morning on Wednesday.
According to Madakasira Police, Boya Eswarappa, 36, a farm laborer, and Rangappagari Nandini, 30, both married and allegedly in a relationship, left their homes in Madakasira on Tuesday evening after being reportedly defied by community elders for allegedly defying their relationship Continue warnings.
Both were found on a tree near Eswarappa’s agricultural land in HR Palem. Eswarappa leaves behind a wife and two children.
Nandini was married 10 years ago and has one son. They both ran away twice, but the ward elders fixed the problem, and a few days ago they were warned again. One case was registered following a complaint from Nandini’s husband.
