TTD increases license fees for rented buildings

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has increased the license fees (rental amount) for its buildings, which it has rented to various government institutions and organizations in Tirumala.

The TTD has allocated spacious rooms to various central and state governments, cooperatives, companies and departments at various locations in the mountain town. However, it had not periodically extended or increased the lease amounts in recent years.

A three-person committee consisting of the Superintendent (II) of the Additional Finance and Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO) and the Deputy EO (Panchayat & Revenue) was formed to investigate the matter and submit a full report to the TTD after it had spoken to all stakeholders.

Based on the recommendations of the committee, the license fees for the telephone switchboard Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) were increased from ₹ 8,854 to ₹ 20,000 per month.

The license fees for the post office, which has seven toilets in the building to house the department staff, have been increased from 4,400 to 10,000 per month, while the state information center has been instructed to pay 2,000 premises per month for its premises as it is not a commercial facility deals motto is involved in its functioning.
