Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) commissioner G. Srijana said the first dose of vaccine would be given to people over 45 years of age within the confines of civil society.
The program is carried out in all municipal health centers, First Referral Units (FRU) centers in Arilova and Malkapuram. “Covishield is given in the centers. The second dose will be given after 84 days, ”she said, appealing to people to get vaccinated.
She also asked the zone officers to use the police to cope with the crowds in the vaccination centers. She also urged officials to maintain hygiene in the vaccination centers.
