At around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, a fire broke out in the APEPDCL Gopalapatnam subway station in Visakhapatnam. Three fire tenders were put in place and it took about two hours to put out the fire, said Deputy District Fireman Gopi Krishna. No casualties or injuries were reported. However, it took some time to put out the fire as there was a good amount of transformer oil in the transformers. The cause of the fire is investigated and the loss of material assessed.
