ENC delivers oxygen system to the COVID center in Palasa

At the request of the Srikakulam district collector J. Niwas, the Indian Navy made an oxygen system on wheels available to the COVID Care Center in Palasa on Tuesday.

The facility, designed by Naval Dockyard, was officially inaugurated at the Palasa COVID Care Center by Seediri Appalaraju, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, in the presence of Sub Collector Suraj Ganore and the Eastern Naval Command team.

12 patients

The system was connected to the oxygen line in the center by a team of specialists from the Naval Dockyard and supplies up to 12 patients with oxygen around the clock. The team has also trained the hospital staff on how to operate the facility.

‘Oxygen on Wheels’ is a unique Naval Dockyard initiative that integrates a PSA oxygen system on a mobile platform for remote hospitals and was officially launched in Visakhapatnam by Vice Admiral AB Singh, Commander in Chief of the Flag. ENC, May 20th.
