Three family members were found dead in Penukonda

Three family members were found dead in their home on Tuesday morning in Penukonda, Anantapur district. The foul smell emanating from behind the doors of the house resulted in neighbors complaining to the police, who broke open the door and found three bodies in a badly decaying state.

According to preliminary information available to Police Sub-Inspector Venkateswarlu, one of the three was identified as Ashwathaiah, a retired SBI manager from the Madakasira branch who was separated from his wife and lived with two of his sisters. Police found unopened newspapers for the past six days outside the house across from Venugopalaswamy Temple in the city.

The police are investigating suicide, murder or death due to COVID19 from three possible angles. According to the neighbors, the inmates did not mix with people and did not have much information about them.
