Annual budget for 2021-22 presented at the AP meeting

Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy presented the annual budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year to the Legislative Assembly on Thursday with expenditures of 2.29,779.27 crore and revenue expenditures of 1.82,196.54 crore.

Investments, including loan repayments and other principal disbursements, were set at £ 47,582.73 billion.

The estimated revenues and budget deficits are 5,000.05 crore and 37,029.79 crore, respectively. They make up 0.47% and 3.49% of the GSDP, respectively.

Mr Rajendranath Reddy said AP ranks 3rd in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and remains the government’s top priority.

He noted that in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the SDG agenda became more important as nations and subnational governments seek to stand up and provide people with healthier environments.
